Who We Are
United for Lebanon (UFL) is an alliance of anti-corruption lawyers assisted by reform advocates and media personnel from the civil society.
Founded in 2016, with the purpose of holding those responsible for squandering taxpayer money accountable, UFL seeks bringing the perpetrators before a court of law, no matter their impunities and sectarian or partisan affiliations.
UFL aims for an impartial justice system independent of political interference. Judicial reform is key to all types of reform, under the prevailing rampant corruption intertwined with confessionalism.
UFL is financially independent and holds no political agenda.
UFL efforts for fighting corruption in public and associated private institutions are based on three pillars: Filing lawsuits; raising public awareness through media outlets; exerting direct pressure through demonstrations.
"United (UFL) initiative had been playing an active advocacy and accountability role in educating the public and the voters through different approaches, including the use of digital media." - Oxfam, Lebanon, May 05, 2018.
