Beirut Seaport Explosion

A “semi-nuclear” blast that blew Beirut on August 4, 2020, causing the death of more than 200 innocent souls, leaving more than 6000 injured and 300.000 homeless. UFL was the first to file a lawsuit against suspected Lebanese State Officials.

Garbage Crisis

As mountains of piled up trash filled the streets of Lebanon in 2015, and as landfills got randomly expanded to contain unsorted solid waste, damaging the environment and health of people, UFL filed several lawsuits all over Lebanon against such environmental violations.

Wasting Social Security Funds

The National Social Security Fund is a public institution that provides Lebanese employees in the private sector with mandatory social security and health insurance. UFL has filed numerous lawsuits against the Institution’s entire network of corruption.

Banking Corrpution

Committing what is known as the ‘Theft of The Century’, Lebanese banks, locked depositors’ accounts of life saving, robbing their money while the country was going through hyperinflation and nearing bankruptcy. UFL has filed extensive lawsuits and organized protests with Depositors Outcry Association to help depositors reclaim their savings.

Compromising Personal Freedom

Serious violations committed against human and individual rights, add to unjustified assaults and use of violence against peaceful protestors. UFL has filed multiple lawsuits against such violations as well as those of freedom of speech.

Judicial Corruption

Critical violations of the law, legal procedures and fundamental principles of law enforcement have been taken place in Lebanon. UFL paid special attention to the corruption of the judiciary and filed consecutive complaints against corrupt judges submitting to influence and political pressures.

Corruption of ministries and public institutions

Act of corruption within ministries and public institutions range from wastage of funds to embezzlement, Bribery, breach of trust, racketeering and power abuse. UFL has filed several lawsuits against civil servants as well as private institutions and individuals suspected of neglection and criminal misuse of authority for achieving personal interests.

Corruption of municipalities

Several violations are committed by heads and members of municipal councils, embezzlement and nepotism. UFL, in association with local communities, pressed charges for curbing this corruption.

Corruption of Hospitals

Patients suffer from delinquencies in healthcare due to lack of work ethic, recurring medical errors, high fees and violations of patient’s rights. UFL press charges against a number of perpetrators including hospital managers, physicians and staff members.
