Medical Errors and Hospital Abuse

On May 3, 2018, UFL filed a lawsuit against several perpetrators, some of whom are directors and physicians, in one of the working hospitals in Lebanon, following the death of a newborn baby after his family failed to pay the necessary hospital costs for proper healthcare. As a result, the baby passed away and his body was handed to his parents with the demand to “pay the financial dues.”

UFL continues to fight corruption within Lebanese hospitals regarding medical errors, rejecting patients, or failing to protect their rights.
